The casino is a place to gamble. A place of luck, chance and vain hope. A place where people have staked their fortunes on a number or a colour only to find it didn’t come up today. Not the kind of place to go if you want to be absolutely, 100% sure of a return. And yet sometimes we can treat faith like a dash of empty hope or even simple good fortune.
I’m guessing you probably wouldn’t be in church today if you didn’t somehow want to please God. Well the bible says that it is impossible to please him without this thing called faith. (Hebrews 11: 6)
So we better know what it is and how we keep it – even when the going gets tough.

All well and good, but not every sick person who who gets prayed for recovers. So why does God sometimes seem to say no? And what do we do when we ask and God says ‘no dice’?
