The casino is a place to gamble. A place of luck, chance and vain hope. A place where people have staked their fortunes on a number or a colour only to find it didn’t come up today. Not the kind of place to go if you want to be absolutely, 100% sure of a return. And yet sometimes we can treat faith like a dash of empty hope or even simple good fortune.
I’m guessing you probably wouldn’t be in church today if you didn’t somehow want to please God. Well the bible says that it is impossible to please him without this thing called faith. (Hebrews 11: 6)
So we better know what it is and how we keep it – even when the going gets tough.

James listened to his brother and he got what he meant to live by faith. Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.” (James 2: 18) What would it mean for you to go ‘all in’ with your faith?
